Meet Flosum

Flosum is a metadata-native DevOps platform built specifically for Salesforce. It was designed to address the architectural requirements described in this lesson, not as a layer on top of Git, but as a purpose-built system for managing Salesforce component lifecycle from source to production.

Component-aware version control, semantic merge, org-aware deployment, first-class rollback, compliance-native audit trail, platform-native security: these are the platform's foundational capabilities, not optional add-ons or workaround-supported features.

The relevant point for this course is that Flosum exists in the category this lesson describes, a metadata-native system that addresses the root causes of the Salesforce DevOps mismatch at the architectural level. That's what makes it a meaningful answer to the problem this course spent six lessons establishing.

This course doesn't cover how Flosum works. The next courses in the curriculum do that, in depth, with configuration walkthroughs, architecture diagrams, and hands-on exercises. The foundations course ends here: with the problem framed, the architectural requirements defined, and the solution category identified.

The specialist and architect courses are where that solution becomes operational.
